Red Cross Training

As part of the Men’s Health Initiative in Honduras we have been visiting NGOs and Honduran institutions in Tegucigalpa that may be interested in using our men’s health manual and receiving training for the employees in order to reach a wider audience with the message. I have gone to Teguc a number of times to meet with interested parties and so far we have been able to organize various workshops funded by the Ministry of Health and the Honduran Red Cross. A few weeks ago a fellow Peace Corps volunteer and I went to Teguc to facilitate a training for employees of the Honduran Red Cross who would be using the men’s health methodology designed by Peace Corps Honduras volunteers to work with taxi drivers.

Due to transportation issues we had a small group but the training went well and I felt very proud that we were able to organize a training at this level and that others will be able to use our methodology.
