Peace Corps allows volunteers to bring two checked bags and one carry-on weighing a combined total of no more than 80 lbs. Luckily I was able to fit everything in my bags and they weight under 70 lbs. I packed my sleeping bag, sleeping pad, hicking boots, rain jacket, lots of business casual clothes, toiletries, books, journals and of course the electronics that Americans can't seem to live without. I will also be able to buy lots of the things I need in Honduras once I get settled in and figure out what I do and don't need. And of course care packages from home will supplement my supplies.

Hopefully your hike in wasn't that bad. I'm pretty sure you said you'd have help with the luggage as soon as you got into the country so it should have gone well. Hope so!
